Sulcis
Iglesiente is one of the most authentic

ROSAS MINE, NARCAO
For
the nature of its lead, zinc, silver and iron deposits in varying
forms have made it a unique specimen, thus attracting researchers
from the world over. The first geologists dubbed the area “the
island within the island” for its testimonial dating back to the
early Palaeozoic Age.

its caves Sulcis Iglesiente engraved a genuin encyclopaedia of the
earth which is open to all enthusiast of speleology, archaeology and
adventure.

mountain biking, horse riding, climbing and cycling enthusiasts will
discover an extraordinary variety of untoiched and little frequented
landscapes, from the mountains to the coast: from the Marganai massif
to the woods of Pantaleo, the largest evergreen forest of europe, to
Punta Pilocca, one of the best rock faces for climbing in Sardinia,
which is certainly one of the most scenic ones along with the via
ferratas on the coastal cliffs of Nebida, Masua and on the small
island of Pan di Zucchero.
